“In this VUCA, or BANI (or TUNA) world, equipping yourself with the tools, knowledge, credibility and community that the GDEIB Certification ecosystem provides is essential to do the necessary work to be a dissenting voice against the anti DEI tide..”
Kyle Wiley, USA
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2026-29)
“A great program. The case studies helped me apply the information learned and learning alongside my colleagues was invaluable.”
Charmaine Sheahan, Canada
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
“This program is genuinely worth it. Go in knowing it will challenge you in ways you might not expect. The content is rigorous and the case study approach is excellent. You don't just learn the GDEIB framework; you learn how to think with it, how to read evidence critically, how to hold a process under pressure, and how to navigate the gap between what organizations say about DEI and what they actually do. That's rare in a certification program.”
Ece Öztan, Turkey
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2026-29)
“This program equips you with the insight and confidence to be a catalyst, driving change one experience at a time. The facilitators are true gems.”
Margaret "Margie" Tifflin, South Africa
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
"Get ready to learn! Regardless how 'seasoned' you are as a DEI professional/practitioner, come with an open mind or beginner mindset and immerse yourself in the learning journey. It is an intense one-week but so worth the time.”
Liza Liew Zhun Ying, Malaysia
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
“This is my first real encounter with a structured DEI framework, and it has given me both insight and confidence as I begin this journey.”
David Pischi, France
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
"Embedding the 6 process steps throughout the program really helped provide a clear structure, having all the case studies be international really helped to encourage considering the multi faceted aspects of using the GDEIB.”
Odis Palmer, United Kingdom
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
"Do it if you plan on using the GDEIB as it will strengthen your understanding and ability to assess while simultaneously giving you an excellent network of DEI practitioners worldwide. “Consider doing it even if you won't necessarily use the GDEIB as it provides you with a very holistic approach to organizational DEI which can be applied to other DEI initiatives.”
Kate Moore, Canada
GDEIB Certified Practitioner (2025-28)
"Take this program. It’s a powerful opportunity to strengthen your understanding of organizational culture, leadership, and inclusive growth.”

Certification is contingent upon:

  1. Completing a pre-program assessment using the online platform.
  2. Completing all self-study content / assignments using the online platform.
  3. Attending and participating in the entirety of all live online sessions.
  4. Passing the qualifying assessment examination (75 or more of 100 points).
  5. Submitting a brief post-program evaluation survey.

How do I get my unique identifying GDEIB Certified Practitioner badge / badge number?

Once you successfully complete the program and post-program evaluation, you will be assigned a unique certification badge to display / share as a part of your professional credentials.

Logistics
How do I apply? When will I know if I have been accepted?

Fill out the application form, indicating your experience in the field, your familiarity with the GDEIB, and why you seek certification. If accepted for Cohort 1, you will be notified on or before August 18, 2025.

When is the registration deadline?

Registration is open on a rolling basis and closes once all spots in a cohort are filled. We will post the late 2025 and 2026 schedule soon. Add your name to the waiting list by sending an email to certification@iddifferences.org.

What is the cancellation policy?

We do not offer cancellations. However, we understand that plans can change—please see our transfer policy below for flexible options.

Can I transfer to a different cohort if my availability changes?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If another published date works better for you, you may request a transfer to a future cohort, subject to availability.

What is the time commitment for the program?

The certification program is designed to be completed within one week and requires you dedicate 16 hours of time to it. It includes 8 hours of live sessions (including Qualifying Assessment Examination completion) and an estimated 8 hours of self-study, including reading, reflection, and exam preparation.

What are the technical requirements to participate?

To join the program, you’ll need a reliable internet connection, full audio and video access to Zoom, and the ability to use an online learning platform that we will make available to you. We also recommend joining the live sessions from a quiet space

Are recordings of Live Sessions available?

No. Active participation in the Live Sessions is a core requirement for successful completion and certification. Recordings are not provided.

What times of day are the Live Sessions?

Live Session times vary depending on the cohort. We offer different options to accommodate our global audiences. Be sure to check what the times are (listed in GMT) in your time zone when you apply.
