GDEIB Jumpstart: Intensive Introduction

This is an intensive, hands-on introduction (“jumpstart” or “bootcamp”) for those who want to become familiar with and begin using the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Benchmarks (GDEIB), considered the standard for organizations around the world to help organizations become measurably inclusive.
The Benchmarks offer a strategic developmental approach to assessing and building out an inclusion and belonging strategy, whether locally, regionally or internationally.
Upon successfully completing this workshop, you will be pre-qualified to enroll in the GDEIB Practitioner Certification program at a specially discounted rate (30% off) to earn official certification.

In this course, you will learn how to help yourself and those you work with so that you/they can better:
- Understand the GDEIB framework and model and its component parts
- Better make the case for organizational Belonging & Inclusion investments using the GDEIB
- Learn how to gather evidence and make assessments using the Benchmarks
You’ll also discuss common challenges including resource constraints, competing priorities, and stakeholder resistance.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Participation listing 6 contact learning hours.
Gamiel Yafai
Gamiel Yafai, MBE is an award-winning diversity and inclusion strategist and the founder of Diversity Marketplace. Born in Birmingham, UK and partially raised in Yemen, Yafai spent 15 years in publishing before dedicating his career to workplace equity. Founded in 2005, his consultancy steers major corporations, universities, and charities past legal compliance toward deep cultural transformation.
A passionate community advocate, Yafai dedicates 20% of his firm’s workload to pro bono services and serves as a trustee for Women Leaders UK. Honored with a Member of the British Empire appointment, Gamiel also received in 2025 an Honorary Doctorate from The Open University for his impactful advocacy.
This course format is one that uses conceptual inputs, discussion, peer sharing, analysis, and action-planning.
This course is for you if you are looking for an established, evidence-based tool to assess organizational DEI maturity, benchmark and strategically advance organizational DEI efforts.
No prior knowledge required, however familiarity with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion fundamentals will help you apply the GDEIB immediately to your context.
