Karen B. Francis, PhD
Contributing Expert Panellist
Karen Francis is a mission-driven Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion executive with deep expertise in organizational strategy, people and culture transformation, and inclusive leadership. Using the GDEIB, she has led enterprise-level change across public and private sectors, championing strategic planning, equity-centered practices, and people-first operations to improve employee experience, talent development, and business outcomes. A sociologist by training, she has developed and scaled global DEI strategies to align culture with performance, earning national recognition for driving measurable impact and has served as a GDEIB Expert Panellist since 2017. She is committed to shaping inclusive, high-performing organizations where purpose, equity, and performance intersect. Karen grew up in the West Indies and is based today in the U.S.
Gamiel Yafai
Contributing Expert Panellist
UK-based Gamiel Yafai is an award-winning DEI strategist with over two decades of experience guiding organisations of all sizes to make systemic change. The CEO and Founder of Diversity Marketplace, Gamiel entered the field in 2000, working on the Commission for Racial Equality. Today, Gamiel and his team help clients — including those in the financial, tech, media, transportation and industrial sectors, as well as nonprofits and government organisations — transition from basic DEI compliance to deep cultural transformation. As a GDEIB Expert Panellist, the Benchmarks are a crucial part of this process. In recognition of his contributions to equality, inclusion and volunteerism, Gamiel was named a Member of the British Empire and received an Honorary Doctorate from the Open University in 2025.
Nadine Binder, PhD
Expert Facilitator
Nadine Binder is a trainer, coach and psychologist specialized in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, personal leadership, intercultural communication, and mental health awareness. She has extensive experience designing and conducting evaluation studies to assess the effectiveness and impact of DEI interventions and learning programs. The GDEIB has been incorporated into various programs she develops. Nadine publishes on topics such as intercultural and global competence development and assessment as well as global leadership and holds external lecturer positions at several international universities in Germany where she teaches cross-cultural management and intercultural business communication. Nadine is a partner at the Institute for Developing Across Differences (IDD) and is based in Germany.
Annelie Wambeek
Expert Facilitator
Annelie Wambeek is a facilitator, trainer and speaker who specializes in the intersection between the DEI and intercultural fields. Her professional background spans communications, sociology, international relations, and finance across Europe and Asia. Annelie's focus today is on helping professionals understand and enhance inclusion and belonging in organizational settings. Annelie is an emerging leader in the DEIB-Intercultural realms, sitting on the boards ofSociety for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research (SIETAR) Europa and SIETAR Netherlands. She has multiple appointments as lecturer in Dutch higher education and is a guest faculty member for the Institute for Developing Across Differences (IDD). She is based in Amsterdam.
Catherine Menyhart
Expert Facilitator
With over 20 years of experience, Catherine Menyhart is a passionate facilitator, coach and lifelong learner who helps individuals and groups develop compassionate leadership practices and inclusive communities. Her specializations include intercultural and international education. Prior to her current role, she managed learning and development programs for 800+ employees in over 40 countries, specializing in workplace leadership and intercultural communication. Based in the US, she has lived and worked in Senegal and France, holds degrees in Education, International Relations and French, and, in addition to being a GDEIB Certified Practitioner, has multiple certifications and qualifications in the field of inclusivity.
